Even A 7 Year Old Can Do It!

A few summers back, our president, Don Bond, invited a fast casual restaurant owner to try out our Taylor Clamshell Grill. The owner accepted the invitation and soon came to meet Don at the business with a cooler full of different items to try out on the grill. The owner’s daughter had recently been sick with a mild cold, so the restaurant owner asked if she could come along for the meeting and she happily and quietly sat on the couch in the kitchen, watching cartoons while the two men grilled away.

The experimenting went smoothly. After every type of meat, veggie, and anything else they could think of was grilled, the owner was feeling pretty good about the grill. He knew it was a piece of equipment that would fare well in his restaurant. As he was considering the purchase of the Clamshell Grill, his sweet 7 year old daughter hopped up off the couch and spoke up for the first time, asking, “Daddy, can I try?”. With apprehensive smiles, the men agreed to let her try. With a swift, yet nonchalant push of 2 buttons, the daughter successfully started up the grill with ease. The men began to laugh immediately. Everyone in the room understood right then and there that there was nothing more to be said. His daughter made the sale. Even a 7 year old can do it!
